Substitute Teacher (On-call)

The Vanguard School is looking for substitute teachers for all grade levels.

 

**Please note that this position requires training that only happens 2-3 times per year.**

Substitute teachers are on an on-call list to fill in for planned or unplanned instructor absences.  Substitutes may choose the days they are available and the grades that they prefer to cover.

At the elementary level, substitute teachers teach reading and math groups for the teacher or instructional aide for whom they are subbing. 

At the secondary level, substitute teachers will cover a variety of subject specific material and study halls.

At all levels substitute teachers are tasked to be a responsible adult in the building with oversight over our students. 

Substitutes may also be tasked with duties such as recess, lunch, carpool, study hall, etc.

Experience:   

High school diploma or equivalent.

1-2 years' experience preferred but not required.

Bachelor's degree is not required for this position.

During the regular school year when students are present: Monday - Friday

 

Salary Range:

$16.50 per hour.
