Star Catcher is powering the future of space by building the world’s first orbital energy grid: the Star Catcher Network. Spacecraft connect into the Star Catcher Network and receive conditioned energy via their existing solar arrays, requiring no retrofit to utilize the first true space-based infrastructure. The Star Catcher Network provides power as needed from tens of Watts to tens of thousands of Watts at concentrations from fractions of a Sun of flux to ten Suns of flux. 

Star Catcher Industries, Inc., located in Jacksonville, FL, has opportunities for our Summer 2027 Marketing & Communications Internship Program to support the growth of the Star Catcher brand and the broader mission of building the world's first orbital energy grid. This role will touch nearly every dimension of marketing and communications — from social media and technical writing to press relations and event coordination — offering hands-on experience at one of the most ambitious companies in the new space industry. This is a rare opportunity to work at the intersection of space infrastructure and strategic communications during a pivotal moment in the company's growth. You'll gain real-world experience across the full marketing and communications function — not busy work.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Engineering, Science, Math, or a related field. The ideal candidate will have a blended background of, or interest in, STEM and Communications.
• To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Responsibilities

• Supporting day-to-day social media content creation, scheduling, and community engagement across LinkedIn and other platforms.
• Assisting with technical writing projects including blog posts, whitepapers, and website copy that translate complex orbital infrastructure concepts for diverse audiences.
• Coordinating logistics and communications for events, conferences, and speaking engagements.
• Supporting earned media efforts including press outreach, media monitoring, and drafting press materials.
• Contributing to the development of marketing collateral, presentations, and internal communications.
• Conducting research and competitive analysis to inform messaging and campaign strategy.
• Collaborating with engineering, business development, and leadership teams to ensure accuracy and alignment across all communications.

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Engineering, Science, Math, or a related field. The ideal candidate will have a blended background of, or interest in, STEM and Communications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail.
• Genuine interest in the space industry, deep tech, or science and technology communication.

Desired Skills

• Familiarity with social media platforms and scheduling tools.
• Experience with content creation or copywriting, including technical or science-adjacent subject matter.
• Basic proficiency in design tools such as Canva, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Self-starter mentality with strong organizational skills.
• Coursework or demonstrated interest in aerospace, physics, engineering, or a related STEM field is a plus.
