- Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the diagnostic area, coordinating the scheduling, staffing, equipment assignment, and patient flow.
- Responsible for the supervision and direction of the staff and scheduling of staff on rotations and other assignments.
- Conducts performance appraisals and has the authority to recommend, reward and/or discipline.
- Observes, evaluates, and participates in the educational process of students.
- Ability to function independently and able to assume the duties of department supervisor as necessary.
- Possesses the skills and knowledge of diagnostic x-rays.
- Ability to perform related procedure and protocols.
- Ability to learn new technology and orient new technologists.
- Demonstrates leadership qualities to provide direction to staff and to handle inter and intradepartmental conflicts.
- Possesses the ability to professional obtain information from patients or their responsible parts to further improve their personalized treatment and care.

- Completion of formal radiographic technology training in an American Medical Association (AMA) or Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) approved school is required.
- Minimum of three years of radiographic experience is required
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.
- If working in North Dakota and performing medical imaging or radiation therapy procedures, licensure with the North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (NDMIRT) Board is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six weeks of employment and re-certification as necessary is required.
Nice to have
- previous supervisory experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
