What you'll do
- Evaluating growth opportunities, supporting strategic initiatives, and identifying ways to expand and improve Meijer’s manufacturing capabilities.
- Analyze market trends, evaluate business opportunities, develop financial and operational recommendations, and collaborate with partners across Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Merchandising, Finance, and Food Safety.
- Developing business cases for new manufacturing capabilities and growth opportunities.
- Conducting market and customer research to identify new product and business opportunities.
- Evaluating facility, operational, and supply chain requirements to support future business expansion.
- Assessing financial impacts of new initiatives and developing recommendations for senior leadership.
- Supporting manufacturing strategy, innovation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What you will be doing as a Manufacturing Business Development Intern:
This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience across Meijer’s Supply Chain and Manufacturing organizations and may lead to consideration for future full-time opportunities, including the Meijer Supply Chain Rotational Program.
As a Manufacturing Business Development Intern, you will work on projects focused on evaluating growth opportunities, supporting strategic initiatives, and identifying ways to expand and improve Meijer’s manufacturing capabilities. Interns will analyze market trends, evaluate business opportunities, develop financial and operational recommendations, and collaborate with partners across Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Merchandising, Finance, and Food Safety.
Past internship projects have included:
Developing business cases for new manufacturing capabilities and growth opportunities.
Conducting market and customer research to identify new product and business opportunities.
Evaluating facility, operational, and supply chain requirements to support future business expansion.
Assessing financial impacts of new initiatives and developing recommendations for senior leadership.

Qualifications:
Progress toward a Bachelor’s degree in: Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Business Analytics, Finance, Economics, Food Science, or Engineering.
