What you'll do
- Monitor and troubleshoot Hadoop ecosystem jobs including Oozie, Hive, and Spark.
- Monitor Airflow DAGs, identify task failures, and execute manual triggers and reruns.
- Monitor Managed File Transfer (MFT) tools, identify failures, and initiate reruns.
- Perform Jenkins pipeline monitoring, build status tracking, and failure alerting.
- Utilize AWS cloud services (S3, EMR, CloudWatch, EC2) in a data engineering context.
- Use ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms for ticket logging, triage, and workflow management.
- Read application and system logs to identify error patterns using command-line interfaces.
- Follow runbooks, SOPs, and escalation protocols in a 24x7 rotational shift environment.
- Document tickets and handoff notes clearly and concisely.
- Handle high-severity (P1/P2) incidents calmly under pressure.

- Basic scripting skills (Python/Bash) for log parsing and ad hoc data checks.
