Our client based in Sligo are looking to hire 2 Support Centre Technicians to support with their continued growth. These roles are on evening shift, Monday to Thursday 4pm -12 and Friday 3pm to 10pm.
Department Objective:
To ensure the plant meets its customer service, financial, inventory management, quality, and safety goals through the effective management of the Support Centre Areas.
Primary Role Objective(s):
To carry out all activities assigned to ensure that production targets in terms of quality, quantity and volume are attained, and that weekly and monthly instrument/equipment maintenance is performed on time and sufficient instrument consumables are present in each lab.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
• Perform all duties assigned by Team/Unit Leader
• Chemical dispensing and material staging
• Equipment staging
• Instrument and lab equipment maintenance
• Instrument consumables management
• Purchasing of non-inventory items
• Laboratory waste management
• Sample management
• Material movements and material control
• Documentation compliance
• Continuous improvement initiatives
• Training of new employees
• Line clearances and close outs
• Computer applications as required
Interpersonal Skills:
Ability to interact with other departments within the plant and members of various teams.
Education:
Minimum Leaving Certificate or equivalent
Experience:
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.
