What you'll do
- Conduct casework for individual clients, including needs and risk assessments.
- Assist with mental health referrals, benefits applications, and budgeting support.
- Support clients in accessing training, work, and accommodation, including accompanying them to appointments.
- Provide support at drop-in services, including managing supplies and ensuring venue safety.
- Coordinate with volunteers and maintain positive relationships with external agencies and landlords.
- Perform night shelter assessments and liaise with local councils and hotels.
- Maintain accurate records on the internal information system.

Job Description
Clients
· Casework for individual clients, based on their
needs. This is likely to include a mix of the following elements:
o Needs assessment
o Risk assessment
o Understanding of Mental Health Referrals
o Apply for ID Documents
o Benefits application and compliance
o Budgeting/managing money
o Accessing training/work
o Signposting clients to other relevant agencies
and support
o Dealing with health issues, including mental
health and addiction
o Finding, viewing and moving into accommodation
o Accompanying clients to appointments where
necessary
o Hobbies, interests, social activities
Day Services (COVID-19 permitting – currently
suspended)
· Assist at Drop-in service
twice weekly
· Assist at Signposting Service
2hrs
· Ensuring sufficient supplies of “Shower Packs”
for the drop-ins
· Preparing “Welcome Packs” for clients moving
into accommodation
· Working with and supporting volunteers who
attend to provide food and/or social activities
· Ensuring the safety and security of
participants and venues during the drop-in
· Initial assessment of client needs
· Ensuring venues are left clean and tidy after
drop-ins
Night Shelter
· Assessment of Clients
· Liaising with Harrow Council (and where
applicable Hotels)
· Case Work
· Liaise with administrator
Community
· Developing and maintaining positive working
relationships with other relevant agencies working with or on behalf of clients
· Developing and maintaining positive working
relationships with landlords and letting agencies who are willing to consider
housing clients
· Supporting the Charity Manager in the promotion
of the organisation and its activities
Administration
· Recording all activity on the internal information system
