What you'll do
- Function as a member of the surgical team who promotes safe patient care, prepares for surgical procedures and manages the sterile field
- Assists the surgeon by passing instruments/equipment and anticipating needs during surgical procedures
- Understands and satisfies the supply, instrumentation and equipment needs from neonatal to adult patients
- Demonstrates advanced knowledge and proficient practice in the first scrub role for most surgical procedures
- Assists with orientation of new personnel in the surgical technologist role

Position requirements:
Must have completion of a surgical technologist program.
Experience required; 2 years of surgical technologist experience with a minimum of 1 year in pediatrics.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.
Surgical Technologist Certification preferred.

Hours: 7am-5pm or 9am-7pm depending on department needs.
This position also requires weekday, weekend and holiday call requirements (must report to the hospital within 30 mins).
Orientation will be Monday through Friday from 6:50am until 3:20pm with off shift rotation. Orientation lasts approximately 6 months.
