What you'll do
- Participates in time-out procedures.
- Attainment of extra supplies and equipment as needed.
- Sets up equipment independently.
- Participates as an active member of the Patient Care Team.
- Monitor and continually assess operating room conditions, including patient and surgical team needs.
- Prepare patients for surgery, including positioning patients on the operating table and covering them with sterile surgical drapes to prevent exposure.
- Knowledge of SPD Sterile Room.

- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- Three (3) years of diversified experience in the operating/procedure room 3-5 years required
Nice to have
- Basic Life Support [BLS] - Generic - HR Only preferred
- Certified Surgical Technologist [CST] - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) preferred
- Experience scrubbing in multiple specialties; five (5) years of experience preferred
- One (1) year of experience working and leading teams 3-5 years preferred

Job Summary
Summary<br>Under supervision, assists in operations. May help set up the operating room, prepare and transport patients for surgery, adjust lights and equipment, pass instruments and other supplies to surgeons and surgeons' assistants, hold retractors, cut sutures, and help count sponges, needles, supplies, and instruments.
