Villeroy&Boch in France is now looking to employ a motivated professional for the internship position of "Sustainability and LCA project Intern”. LCA being Life Cycle Assessment.

Duration of the internship = 6 months.

Mains objectives:

  • Ensure reliable and consistent environmental data collection across products and sites,
  • Support the development and delivery of EPD/FDES in line with business priority,
  • Participate to the FDES/EPD roadmap and its achievement,

Area of impact:

Data quality and consistency across departments,

Influence on business and organization:

Help the company (sales) to meet costumer and tender requirements regarding EPD/FDES

Main Position Tasks:

1. Task:

Data collection & coordination

  • Collect and consolidate product and environmental plant data collection from internal stakeholders,
  • Participate in internal and external meetings about data collection (Consultants, plants, verifier),
  • SAP BOM product data check, completeness and adjustment,

2. Task:

Modelling & tools

Assist in modelling FDES/EPD using dedicated tool,

Complete manually product and plant data in the tool,

3. Task:

Verification and compliance

  • Help to prepare technical documentation for third party verification (FDES, EPD, statements, …),
  • Ensure compliance with EPD/FDES standard (EN15804 & EN15804+A2),

4. Task:

FDES & EPD development & creation

  • Assist in the creation, update and publication of EPD/FDES,
  • Support registration and submission on platforms (e.g. INIES),

5. Task:

Project monitoring

  • Track ongoing, new and expiring EPD/FDES,
  • Support reporting and progress follow-up,
  • Monitor project timelines and deliverables,

6. Task:

Administrative support

  • Assist with cost tracking, purchase order and invoices,
  • Support coordination with external partners,
  • Follow up on payment and documentation,

Education:

Student in engineering, environmental sciences, sustainability or related fields

Type and length of necessary job experience:

An experience or an academic project in LCA, environment or sustainability is preferred. 

Specific Knowledge (only essential specific knowledge, e.g. language skills if mandatory)

Technical skills:

  • Good knowledge of excel (data handling, basic analysis, recherchV function, …)
  • Comfortable working with digital platform and data management tools (ex: SAP, …),
  • Basic understanding of environmental data and/or life cycle assessment is a plus

Languages:

  • Good proficiency in English (written and spoken)
  • French is a plus

Soft skills:

  • Well organized and detail oriented,
  • Proactive with the ability to manage multiple tasks,
  • Good communication,

Interests

  • Strong interest in sustainability, environmental impact and industrial processes,
  • Motivation to learn about Life cycle assessment, EPD/FDES and environmental regulation,
