Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Supply Chain Production Planner/Scheduler with expertise in SAP to join our manufacturing business. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating production activities to ensure optimal efficiency, timely delivery, and effective resource utilization. This role plays a critical part in driving the seamless flow of materials and production processes within our supply chain.

Job Requirements

1.    Production Planning
o    Develop and maintain production schedules using SAP to meet customer demands while optimizing resource utilization.
o    Coordinate production workflows to ensure timely manufacturing, considering capacity and materials availability.
o    Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as necessary to address delays or changes in demand.
2.    Inventory and Materials Management
o    Collaborate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure the availability of raw materials and components.
o    Use SAP to monitor stock levels, forecast material requirements, and prevent shortages or excess inventory.
o    Implement inventory control strategies to reduce waste and optimize costs.
3.    Cross-Functional Collaboration
o    Work closely with production, procurement, quality, and logistics teams to align schedules and resolve issues.
o    Act as a liaison between departments to ensure effective communication and smooth operations.
o    Support the sales and customer service teams by providing accurate delivery timelines.
4.    Data Analysis and Reporting
o    Utilize SAP to generate reports on production performance, inventory levels, and supply chain metrics.
o    Analyse production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
o    Provide regular updates to management on production status and any potential risks.
5.    Customer interface:
o    Have experience dealing with customers escalations and orders management.
o    Good in creating recovery plans and able to share with customers and attend escalations and follow up meetings with customers.
o    Attend and represent the business in customers meetings and communicate delivery updates to the customers F2F
o    Make sure the customer orders management and delivery date are always maintained in SAP and reflecting a high level of accuracy.
6.    Process Improvement
o    Identify and implement improvements in production planning, scheduling, and inventory management processes.
o    Leverage SAP capabilities to streamline workflows and enhance productivity.
o    Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to achieve operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Education:
  bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience:
• 3+ years of experience in production planning or scheduling within a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with SAP (e.g., SAP PP, MM, or similar modules).
• Skills and Competencies:
• Strong proficiency in SAP for production planning and scheduling.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, supply chain principles, and inventory management.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in SAP or supply chain (e.g., APICS CPIM, CSCP).
• Experience in lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
