About the Role

 

This is an opportunity to help shape Evolution's cyber security architecture capability across both corporate IT and operational technology (OT) environments.

 

Reporting to the Enterprise Architecture Lead, with a close working relationship with the Group Manager Cyber Security, you'll provide architecture leadership and security guidance across enterprise technology initiatives, operational systems and major projects. You'll work closely with architects, technology teams, operational stakeholders and business leaders to ensure security is embedded into technology design, governance and decision making.

 

This role goes beyond design reviews and governance. You'll help build and mature cyber architecture practices, influence long-term technology strategy and work across both IT and OT environments to improve Evolution's security posture while supporting safe and reliable operations. Based in Sydney, the role will include engagement with operational sites and technology stakeholders across Australia and Canada.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

• Develop and maintain Evolution's cyber security architecture framework.
• Define security standards, principles and design patterns for IT and OT environments.
• Partner with architects, engineers and operational stakeholders to embed security into solution design.
• Assess security risks and ensure appropriate controls are incorporated into technology initiatives.
• Support architecture governance activities and Architecture Review Board processes.
• Provide expert guidance on cyber security strategy, threat management and technology risk.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of security architecture, standards and practices.
• Act as a trusted advisor to technology and business stakeholders.

 

 

About You

 

You combine strong technical cyber security capability with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive practical outcomes.

Your experience may include enterprise architecture, solution architecture, cyber security leadership or industrial cyber security, ideally within mining, utilities, energy or other operational technology environments.

 

Your experience will include:

 

• Experience designing and implementing secure IT and OT environments.
• Strong understanding of cyber security architecture, risk management and governance.
• Experience assessing security risks and embedding security controls into technology solutions.
• Ability to influence stakeholders across technical and operational environments.
• Experience working with enterprise architects, infrastructure teams and business leaders.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
• Relevant qualifications in Cyber Security, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• GICSP, IEC62443 or equivalent OT/industrial cyber security certifications highly desirable.
• Broader TOGAF and/or SABSA credentials well regarded.
