The Position

As a Systems Administrator at Redox, you will be pivotal in maintaining and enhancing our IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth operation and leading implementation work across Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 and other cloud-based technologies. Your daily responsibilities will include: 

  • Providing expert-level support to resolve complex technical issues with efficiency and precision. 
  • Analysing, designing, implementing, and managing new software integrations to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
  • Planning and managing the lifecycle of system upgrades and new software implementations, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum improvement. 
  • Ensuring the continuity and optimal performance of our Microsoft Hyper-V server environment, addressing any issues proactively.
  • Monitoring the health of our network and all fixed and mobile devices, maintaining high standards of reliability and security. 
  • Managing the network infrastructure, including configuring DNS, routers, switches, and implementing firewall policies, with a preference for FortiGate firewalls.
  • Maintaining Microsoft Exchange Online, Active Directory, Group Policy, and DFS, ensuring they are secure and up to date. 
  • Supporting our IP telephony system, with a particular focus on troubleshooting VOIP issues. 

Our hybrid office is located in South-Western Sydney, offering a great opportunity to achieve a better work/life balance without the long commute to the CBD. 

About you

To be considered for this role you must have: 

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, ensuring effective collaboration and support across the team. 
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Systems Administrator, demonstrating solid expertise and reliability.
  • Extensive experience managing and maintaining physical server and virtual infrastructure, including Microsoft Windows Server, Hyper-V nodes and virtual machines.
  • Proven experience implementing, supporting and delivering projects using Microsoft cloud technologies, including Azure, Entra ID, Intune, Windows Autopilot, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange Online, Teams and Azure Arc.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook. 
  • Experience troubleshooting SIP and ensuring the reliability of our IP telephony system.
  • Experience managing FortiGate firewalls and implementing firewall policies desirable. 
  • Experience with backup and restore, patching and system maintenance, to support reliable and secure infrastructure operations
  • Experience with monitoring tools, ideally PRTG.
