What you'll do

  • Coordinate and track the New Employee Orientation task list for each cohort, ensuring preparation, logistics, onsite support, communications, and follow-up items are completed accurately and on time.
  • Support the execution of New Employee Orientation sessions by helping create a welcoming, organized, and engaging experience for new employees.
  • Assist with New Employee Orientation facilitation and, with training and support, serve as a backup facilitator when needed.
  • Coordinate day-of logistics, including materials, room setup, technology needs, participant communications, attendance tracking, and onsite support.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of orientation and onboarding resources, including job aids, communications, intranet updates, and related materials.
  • Partner with Talent Development, HR, IT, Facilities, and other stakeholders to help ensure orientation logistics and new hire readiness tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Provide coordination support for related employee onboarding activities, such as assigning New Manager training and completing other onboarding follow-up tasks.
  • Provide onsite and coordination support for Talent Development programs and ad hoc requests as needed, including preparing materials, supporting room setup, assisting facilitators, supporting communications, and completing follow-up items.
  • Use project management software to organize and monitor coordination tasks, deadlines, program details, and follow-up items to help ensure work stays on schedule.
  • Use approved AI tools to streamline routine tasks, improve efficiency, and support accurate, high-quality work outputs.
  • Demonstrate willingness to learn Talent Development processes, systems, principles, and facilitation practices.

The Talent Development Coordinator primarily supports the preparation, coordination, and execution of New Employee Orientation.

This hybrid role is based in the San Diego area and regularly assists with in-person orientation and Talent Development activities, including preparing materials, coordinating logistics, supporting facilitators, welcoming employees, and helping create consistent, organized, and engaging learning experiences.
