Technical and Training Supervisor

You will provide technical support, deliver training programs, driving digital technology adoption, and supporting the development of new business opportunities within the Automotive Refinish business.

You will play an important part in strengthening customer capabilities and improving service quality. It also supports business growth and expands PPG's presence in emerging segments. These segments include Window Film, Paint Protection Film (PPF), Car Care, Allied Products, and other future mobility solutions. You will report directly to Technical & Sales Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• 1. Technical Support, Training & Capability Development
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for distributors, bodyshops, and key accounts.
  • Support product trials, customer conversions, and implementation of new technologies and processes.
  • Develop and deliver technical training programs on product application, color matching, repair processes, and latest technologies.
  • Support technician certification, capability development, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, training materials, and best practice guidelines.
  • Work with commercial teams to enhance customer satisfaction, strengthen technical capabilities, and drive business growth.

2. Digital Technology Development

• Drive the use of digital technology solutions within the refinish business.
• Support implementation of color management software, digital workflow systems, and AI-enabled technologies.
• Train customers and distributors on digital platforms and best practices.
• Collaborate with regional teams on digital transformation projects and technology deployment.

3. New Product & Allied Product Development

• Research, and support commercialization of new products and technologies, including:
  • Window Film
  • Paint Protection Film (PPF)
  • Car Care Products
  • Allied Products
  • Future Mobility Solutions
• Conduct product benchmarking, testing, and market validation.
• Support product launches, demonstrations, and customer engagement activities.
• Monitor market trends, competitive activities, and latest technologies to identify growth opportunities.

4. Regional & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with regional teams on technical projects, product launches, and best practices.
• Support communication between local customers and international stakeholders.
• Participate in business development, continuous improvement, and growth projects.
• Work with Sales, Marketing, Technical, and Supply Chain teams to support business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Automotive Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related fields.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Automotive Refinish, Technical Service, Training, or related industries.
• We prefer experience in automotive coatings, bodyshop operations, aftermarket products, or technical customer support.
• Experience with digital tools, software applications, AI technologies, or technology-related projects is an advantage.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Read technical documents, training materials, and communicate with regional and global teams.
