Generac Home is hiring a Technical Writer.  In this role you will draft and edit technical documentation for Generac’s residential solar + storage power electronics. Documentation will include but not be limited too; product manuals, technical specification sheets, application notes, white papers, service manuals, product bulletins, and user guides. Candidates must possess excellent communication skills and work well both independently and collaboratively. Candidate must demonstrate expertise in execution of writing, inclusive of grammar, formatting and page layout.  

Selected candidates may be asked to prepare or share samples of technical documentation inclusive of content and drawings.

Generac is committed to fair and equity compensation practices. The salary range for this role based in Oakland CA is $88,100 - $110,100. The salary range for this role based in N. Billerica MA is $83,000 - $110,500 and the salary for this role based in S. Portland ME and remaining locations is $72,800 - $91,000. This compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and geographic location. This role is eligible for variable compensation, including short term incentives.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls.  The employee is regularly required to stand and walk.  On occasion, the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders.  The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
