What you'll do

  • Synthesize novel particle formulations in aqueous media
  • Conduct process optimizations to ensure final formulations conform to internal specifications with respect to downstream performance, stability, and reproducibility
  • Independently execute various reactions, assays, QCs and experiments to characterize the physicochemical properties of new and established particle formulations
  • Spend most working hours in the lab (90% lab work, 10% computer work)
  • Work in a multidisciplinary environment comprising chemists, biochemists, molecular biologists, and engineers to drive toward company goals
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Ability to exhibit competency with basic organic chemistry concepts and reactions
  • Understands the differentiation and utilization of data driven deep dives and high-level summaries as well as goal setting
  • Highly organized and has outstanding time and operation management abilities
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to adhere to company guidelines and policies

Nice to have

  • Experience with chemical or biochemical characterization methods, including any of the following but not limited to UV-vis and fluorescence spectroscopy, DLS, flow cytometry, SDS-PAGE, PCR, is a plus
  • Previous experience with bioconjugation chemistry and/or surface chemistry or working with micro- or nanoparticle formulations, know-how in polymer chemistry, proficiency in molecular biology and knowledge of protein chemistry is a plus
  • Previous experience with TFF, cross-flow filtration, reactor set up, large scale production and high cross-functional collaboration is a plus

We are looking for a highly motivated Technician II, Surface Chemistry to join our team!

As a Technician II, Surface Chemistry, you will play a critical role in the production and development of critical reagents that will have a major impact on the medical and life science fields.

This opportunity is an onsite full-time Saturday-Wednesday contracting position based in our Fremont, CA office.

This contracting position offers an hourly pay rate between $26/hour and $29/hour, and your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
