Temporary Accommodation Team Leader

Initial 5-month contract | £35.48 per hour (Umbrella) | Hybrid working

We are seeking an experienced Temporary Accommodation Team Leader to join a South London local authority on an initial 5-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced housing professional with strong knowledge of local government temporary accommodation services to make an immediate impact.

You will be responsible for leading and supporting a team of Temporary Accommodation Officers, ensuring the effective delivery of high-quality housing services to residents. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day management, guidance, and performance support, helping the team meet service objectives and statutory requirements.

The role requires a strong understanding of temporary accommodation provision within a local authority setting, including experience assessing the suitability of accommodation and ensuring placements meet relevant standards and resident needs.

Key responsibilities will include:
·Managing, motivating, and supporting a team of Temporary Accommodation Officers
·Overseeing casework quality and service delivery standards
·Providing expert guidance on temporary accommodation suitability and housing processes
·Supporting continuous improvement and effective partnership working
You will have proven experience in a similar leadership role within a local authority housing service, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
