Job Description:
Manages, develops, evaluates, and implements new testing processes and procedures to improve product quality, cost, performance, and reliability, ensuring compliance with specifications. Acts as a liaison between Engineering and Production for the development and implementation of tests and the necessary support.
Responsibilities and Expectations:
• Work as a team with all support departments during the implementation or innovation of the testing process.
• Build or develop test stations when required due to increased customer demand or improvements in the manufacturing test process.
• Manage the calibration control and preventive maintenance plan for test equipment.
• Monitor FPY to reduce the NFF percentage and alert the area or operation that is impacting it.
• Perform GR & R, AAA, and Cpk to ensure acceptable test performance.
• Train technicians and operators to use test equipment.
• Manage TPM and downtime.
• Promote participation in Kaizen events and contribute with CI ideas.
• Implement preventive and corrective actions when required.
• Support in the creation, execution, and automation of validation testing for various products developed by the company.
• Develop, evaluate, and implement fixtures and software to automate existing product processes and tests.
Knowledge, Education, and Experience:
• Degree in Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field, Master’s degree (preferred).
• 2 to 4 years of experience as a Test Engineer in the Electronics industry.
• Intermediate proficiency in the English language.
• Basic knowledge of RF, Power supply, switches, communication protocols
• Knowledge of LabWindows / CVI, LabView, and TestStand.
• Knowledge of National Instruments Hardware and Software.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methodology and tools.
• Knowledge in the implementation and development of test equipment that minimizes the possibility of non-conforming products, ensures compliance with customer requirements and applicable regulations.
• Ability to identify areas of opportunity and promote actions that contribute to continuous improvement in test equipment.
