What you'll do

  • Work closely with the Deputy Care Manager to help keep day-to-day Client/Carer communication running smoothly
  • Help ensure scheduling is carried out efficiently, giving Care Assistants enough allocated care time with each Client and allowing for travel time
  • Answer the telephone promptly and professionally, helping with enquiries and queries
  • Record enquiries promptly and accurately, including all the relevant details
  • Make sure changes to Client or Carer needs and availability are shared quickly and clearly with everyone who needs to know, and recorded in the appropriate places
  • Log complaints, Care Assistant feedback and enquiries promptly and accurately using the correct procedure
  • Support Care Assistants by keeping communication clear and consistent and building strong, positive working relationships
  • Record all new Care Assistants and Clients on the system as soon as their details are received
  • Report weekly to the Registered Manager and Line Manager on recruitment needs, rota gaps, risks, Care Assistant availability and any concerns
  • Identify and match the most suitable Care Assistants for each package
  • Prepare consistent weekly rosters and provide Care Assistants and Clients with their rotas in good time
  • Monitor and record Care Assistant holidays, sickness and absences accurately

Recognised as a progressive, high-quality leader in health and social care, we are delighted to be recruiting a Trainee Care Coordinator for our Guildford team office to help us deliver outstanding care across our local community.

In this role, you’ll use your excellent communication and organisational skills to support our fantastic team of Care Assistants in delivering high-quality, reliable care to our valued Clients. We’re looking for someone friendly, flexible and detail-oriented who will help us continue providing excellent, dependable care.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Take part in the on-call rota

Qualifications & Experience

  • Ability to build and maintain effective, professional working relationships

  • Strong administration skills and the ability to manage multiple workloads
