  • Collaborate with Senior Trust and Estate Consultants in your region to create and implement plans for sourcing business and raising awareness of CIBC Trust products.
  • Assess new business opportunities, gather required information, identify potential risks and provide mitigation strategies.

  • In partnership with Senior Trust and Estate Consultants, deliver Trust & Estate services within your assigned region.
  • Provide Trust & Estate information sessions to target partner audiences and participate in client seminars.
  • Keep abreast of Trust & Estate legislative changes, jurisprudence, and shifting industry trends in order to effectively provide the best solutions to our clients.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Trust & Estate Consultant, you will be responsible for the delivery of Estate and Trust services in your assigned region and work with internal partners and external centres of influence to service and pro-actively grow the estates and trust business.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Business Development- Collaborate with Senior Trust and Estate Consultants in your region to create and implement plans for sourcing business and raising awareness of CIBC Trust products. Who You Are

  • You have experience in sales and business development and knowledge of the administration of estates, trust and powers of attorney/guardianship. You also have knowledge of legislation and regulations pertaining to the administration of estates and trusts, gained from 3+ years of experience in the estate and trust or financial services industry.
  • You put our clients first. You have strong sales, interpersonal, communication, presentation and relationship management skills sufficient to build strong relationships with clients and to identify partnership opportunities.
  • You are a certified professional.  You have a post-secondary degree and willingness to complete professional accreditation such as the Member Trust Institute (MTI), and/or Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) within a reasonable timeframe.
  • You are goal-oriented.  You have good judgement and are able to balance multiple priorities while meeting critical timelines.
