Tufting Operator - (Commercial)

PURPOSE OF JOB:

To operate the Stratatec Tufting Machine and keep a record during the shift of production and downtime.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Monitor carpet quality.

• Navigate SAP.

• Navigate Barco

• Must work in a team Environment.

• Ability to Mend.

• Abide by our WCM Philosophies.

• Ability to run knots efficiently.

• Change backing.

• Make out roll tickets.

• Doff rolls.

• Housekeeping of area.

• Other duties as instructed by supervisor.

NEEDED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Ability to bend, pull, and lift       

• Ability to see and thread multiple colors.

• Ability to read, write, and do basic math

• Knowledge of air splicer

• Ability to understand graphic patterns

• Ability to tie weaver's knot

• Preferred High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

• Prior experience operating a tufting machine with all ends controlled by servos
