UI Lead
Lead UI engineering across SecPod and own @secpod/ui, the shared design system that supports our products. Set the frontend technical direction, establish a high bar for quality and accessibility, and help grow the engineers building exceptional user experiences.

Frontend Leadership · React · TypeScript · Design Systems

About the Role
SecPod builds security products used by teams to understand and manage complex security environments. As UI Lead, you’ll shape the frontend experience across the company, from product interfaces and dashboards to the shared design system that brings consistency to every application.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You’ll work closely with product and engineering teams, influence architectural decisions, guide implementation standards, and step into product work when your expertise can make a meaningful difference.
You’ll operate at both the product and platform levels, helping teams ship better interfaces while building a strong, scalable foundation for frontend development across SecPod.
What You’ll Own
Frontend Technical Direction
Set and evolve frontend standards across product teams, including architecture, maintainability, performance, accessibility, and engineering quality.
Shared Design System
Own @secpod/ui, including its component strategy, design tokens, theming, APIs, documentation, and long-term evolution.
Product UI Quality
Partner closely with product teams to ensure interfaces are intuitive, consistent, responsive, accessible, and built to a high engineering standard.

Engineering Standards
Define and strengthen the practices that keep frontend development reliable, including code review, testing, CI quality, performance, and accessibility.
Accessibility
Make accessibility a core part of frontend engineering. Establish practical standards around WCAG, keyboard interaction, semantic HTML, ARIA, and assistive technology support.
Cross-Team Leadership
Work across teams to drive frontend consistency, adoption of shared standards, and strong engineering practices without relying solely on direct authority.
Mentorship
Coach and mentor frontend engineers, provide thoughtful technical feedback, and help establish a culture of strong engineering judgment and continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For
You’ve built and owned frontend systems, not just used them.
You’re comfortable moving between strategic decisions and hands-on engineering, and you understand how to create standards that product teams can actually adopt.
You can explain not only what good frontend engineering looks like, but why, whether the topic is architecture, accessibility, performance, component design, or developer experience.
You’ve led through influence as well as authority, establishing technical direction, introducing better practices, mentoring engineers, and helping teams improve over time.
Experience with data-rich applications, security, infrastructure, SaaS, or other complex products is a strong plus.
Why This Role
This is an opportunity to shape frontend engineering at a company where the UI is a critical part of the product experience.
You’ll have the scope to influence both the shared foundations and the interfaces built on top of them, while helping establish the people, practices, and technical standards that will scale with SecPod.
