About The Role

Knight Frank are seeking a UK Compliance and Risk Manager to join their Head Office in Baker Street.

The UK Compliance and Risk Manager role ensures that the LLP complies with all relevant UK legislation, regulations, and industry standards. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining compliance frameworks, including effective risk management, monitoring regulatory changes, and promoting a strong compliance culture across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the LLP is aware of and has effective controls in place to comply with all applicable UK legislation and regulation.
• Identify and assess emerging legislation and regulatory requirements, working closely with Risk Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to evaluate impact and implement necessary changes.
• Develop and maintain a Compliance Risk Assessment, supporting the UK Controls Testing Manager with the Internal Controls Framework.
• Maintain and update the corporate risk register, supporting business leaders in evaluating and managing risks within their areas of responsibility.
• Produce regular risk reports and dashboards for senior management and governance committees.
• Monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) and ensure escalation of significant risk events.
• Track mitigation plans and ensure actions are completed within agreed timescales.
• Produce UK-specific compliance Management Information (MI), analyse trends, and drive remedial actions where required.
• Line Manage the Residential Compliance Advisor, providing guidance, support, and performance oversight.
• Assist the Compliance Advisors with complaint responses where required
• Oversee LLP regulatory registrations and ensure timely submission of annual returns and other statutory filings.
• Lead UK compliance investigations, ensuring thorough documentation, resolution, and reporting to senior stakeholders.
• Maintain and manage ISO standards compliance, including audits and certification requirements.
• Promote the UK Compliance agenda through effective training programs and clear communication across the business.

Skills & Experience

• Strong knowledge of UK regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements, ideally within the property sector. Knowledge of RICS Professional Standards is advantageous.
• Proven experience in compliance management within a regulated environment.
• Ability to interpret and implement legislation and regulatory changes.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
• Familiarity with ISO standards and audit processes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Law, Risk Management, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Professional compliance or risk certification (e.g., ICA, IRM) desirable.
