What you'll do
- Perform manual labor duties such as digging trenches, shoveling, and backfilling using hand tools and power equipment.
- Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of underground utilities, including pipes, conduits, and cables.
- Operate and maintain various hand and power tools, including but not limited to shovels, picks, tampers, jackhammers, and compactors.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment from trucks and other vehicles.
- Clean and prepare job sites, including clearing debris and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist equipment operators and other crew members as needed.
- Perform flagging duties to direct traffic around work zones when required.
- Report any unsafe conditions or incidents to a supervisor immediately.
- Work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and snow.
