BUSINESS UNIT NAME: Community Development

REPORTS TO: Coming Home Program Coordinator

SUPERVISORY WORK: None

WAGES: $9:00 per hour


SUMMARY

Under general supervision, assists in performing job-related tasks and assignments. Duties include caring for and maintaining park grounds and other City of Amarillo facilities. Participants will attend training courses and complete the assigned coursework.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Prior experience in light groundskeeping and custodial duties is preferred. Regular attendance at classroom sessions organized by the Community Development Department is mandatory.

ADA PROFILE

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, up to 15 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Additionally, the employee must have the ability to make rational decisions and perform repetitive motions.


WORK ENVIRONMENT

The employee’s work takes place both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions and a dynamic environment that demands sensitivity to change and responsiveness to shifting goals, priorities, and needs. The primary work hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with approximately 24 hours of work scheduled each week.
