What you’ll be working on as a BMS Automation Engineer
You will play a key role in designing and implementing Building Automation Systems and Environmental Monitoring Systems. BMS software, often programmed by vendors, needs to be reviewed and documented according to G(a)MP regulations. Your responsibilities include:
- Define and document User/Functional Requirements for Building Automation Systems activities.
- Coordinate BMS version upgrades or migrations from project initiation to completion.
- Work closely with system owners, software suppliers and other automation engineers to ensure seamless execution.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (GMP).
- Apply best practices to optimize automation processes and enhance system performance.
Your profile
You are an analytical and detail-oriented engineer with a strong background in industrial automation and BMS systems, with:
- A bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Industrial Automation, Electrical Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines.
- Experience in a technical, regulated environment, ideally with knowledge of GMP/GAMP
- Knowledge of BMS application software (preferably Honeywell, Priva) and industrial automation infrastructure. Knowledge of BMS graphics and hardware is a nice to have.
- Deep knowledge of HVAC systems.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders, engineers, and operators.

- A gross salary between €3.600 and €5.300 per month, plus a mobility allowance of €850 and 8% holiday allowance (based on a 40-hour workweek).

Your work environment
With over 200 colleagues, our Manufacturing & Industrial Operations department offers significant and meaningful contributions to various organisations in The Netherlands and occasionally abroad. Our people have expertise in offering partnerships and solutions around industrial automation, smart factory, and data science. Our projects vary tremendously, from upgrading automation systems for a vaccin production line, designing smart sensors based on IoT and cloud technology to reduce food waste, to developing predictive models to optimize warehouse logistics. And sometimes you are working as technical coordinator in large project teams of over 50 colleagues, and at other times you are working on a solution with only two or three other colleagues. This makes our work highly unpredictable in scope, project duration and commuting time. Yet also incredibly rewarding in terms of learning and growth opportunities.
