What you’ll be working on as a Consultant Industrial Automation
You will be at the core of operations across various industries, including Energy, Life Sciences, Mobility, and High Tech.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Managing stakeholder relationships with clients, Capgemini Engineering, and suppliers to gather requirements and analyze project needs.
- Reviewing and documenting PLC and SCADA software deliveries to ensure adherence to automation standards.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement effective automation solutions on-site and remotely.
- Conducting assessments of client automation systems to identify areas for optimization and improvement.
- Gaining domain-specific knowledge through continuous learning and training to contribute to your success in the role.
Your profile
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Experience with PLC, DCS and/or SCADA systems (e.g., Siemens TIA Portal/WinCC/PCS7, Emerson DeltaV, ABB 800XA, AVEVA Wonderware). Programming experience is important, yet depending on the project, you might be more engaged with reviewing documents and monitoring rather than hands-on development.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage client and supplier relationships, particularly in complex manufacturing environments.
- A solution-oriented approach to problem-solving, with a focus on optimizing automation processes and ensuring smooth execution.
- A technical background, preferably in industrial automation, electrical engineering or a related field, with knowledge of system integration and process automation.

- A gross salary between €3.600 and €5.300 per month, plus a mobility allowance of €850 and 8% holiday allowance (based on a 40-hour workweek).

Your work environment
With over 200 colleagues, our Manufacturing & Industrial Operations department offers significant and meaningful contributions to various organisations in The Netherlands and occasionally abroad. Our people have expertise in offering partnerships and solutions around industrial automation, smart factory, and data science. Our projects vary tremendously, from upgrading automation systems for a vaccin production line, designing smart sensors based on IoT and cloud technology to reduce food waste, to developing predictive models to optimize warehouse logistics. And sometimes you are working as technical coordinator in large project teams of over 50 colleagues, and at other times you are working on a solution with only two or three other colleagues. This makes our work highly unpredictable in scope, project duration and commuting time. Yet also incredibly rewarding in terms of learning and growth opportunities.
