Why This Role Matters

Our public-sector client is developing an innovative AI-powered platform involving AI agents and assistants. As a UX Designer, you will shape intuitive, user-centred experiences that turn complex AI capabilities into practical, accessible outcomes. You will combine strong UX practice with Business Analyst capability, working directly with clients, stakeholders and delivery teams to define requirements, guide the product backlog and ensure solutions meet real business and user needs.

Key Responsibilities:

•Design intuitive user experiences for AI-powered solutions, including AI assistants, chat platforms and agentic solutions.

•Partner closely with clients and stakeholders, including business, product, development and project teams, to understand objectives and delivery priorities.

•Gather, analyse and document business and user requirements.

•Translate requirements into delivery-ready artefacts, including user journeys, user stories, acceptance criteria, wireframes, prototypes and UX designs.

•Support product backlog management, including the creation, refinement, prioritisation and ongoing management of backlog items.

•Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups and retrospectives.

•Collaborate with development teams to ensure UX and business requirements are understood and delivered effectively.

•Conduct user research and incorporate user feedback into designs and requirements.

•Research emerging AI and UX trends and apply relevant approaches to improve the user experience.

•Own UX and requirements deliverables, ensuring documentation is clear, complete and aligned to business and user needs.

Qualifications:

•5+ years of UX/UI design experience.

•Strong experience working in Agile project environments.

•Strong client-facing and stakeholder management experience.

•Demonstrated experience gathering and documenting business and user requirements.

•Experience creating user stories and acceptance criteria, and working with product backlogs.

•Experience designing AI-powered solutions, AI assistants, chat platforms or comparable technologies.

•Strong ability to translate business requirements into intuitive user experiences.

•Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

•Highly proactive, detail-oriented, curious and self-directed, with the ability to work independently and take ownership without constant direction.
