What you'll do

  • Grow and manage the New York-based Valuation Consulting team, through developing an area of expertise
  • Manage/perform consulting engagements as required
  • Utilize your entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships internally and externally (especially with private equity firms) with the goal of acquiring new repeat referral sources, clients, projects, and revenue
  • Collaborate with other offices and industry groups to manage and develop consulting practices
  • Attend valuations industry trade shows and conferences and participate in firm-wide marketing and sales programs
  • Assist in the development of training programs for existing clients and prospects
  • Participate as a presenter of topics Valuation seminars and webinars
  • Write and/or co-author articles for publications Valuation periodicals
  • Develop and participate in public speaking opportunities at industry trade shows and conferences
  • Leverage technical knowledge and experience to provide effective project management and practice development
  • Manage cross-functional teams to deliver engagements and ensure client profitability targets are met
  • Invest in your professional development individually and through participation in firm wide learning and development programs

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting or economics required; MBA or Master’s in Business Valuations preferred
  • CPA, CFA or ASA designation required

  • History of relationships with private equity firms and their portfolio companies
  • Prior success in leading key business development, project delivery and practice development activities required

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; self-directed professional with strong interpersonal skills
  • Effective time management and organizational skills, proven ability to prioritize while simultaneously managing multiple client engagements and priorities
  • Ability to lead and supervise others, provide exceptional client service, demonstrate commitment to continuous learning in order to stay current regarding applicable strategies, see the "big picture" as well as the details, display appropriate ethical knowledge and commitment, and exhibit a sense of urgency and commitment to quality and the timely completion of projects
  • Ability to travel as needed, approximately 30%
