The primary responsibility of the Vendor Specialist is to supervise and develop an assigned team to drive sales and meet retailer and client expectations by utilizing the 5 Key Steps. This responsibility is demonstrated through the effective training and education of vendors and store personnel on product lines, planogram implementation, and other projects deemed necessary. Optimal results are achieved by executing the Anderson Approach, which consists of: Collaboration, Pre-Sell and Awareness, Implementation, Reporting, and Post Reporting.

Supervision:
The Vendor Specialist reports directly to the Retail Project Market Manager (RPMM).

What would you do in this role?

Duties and Responsibilities

Collaboration

· Build rapport and maintain daily communication with Store Managers and Merchandising Managers.

· Train, supervise, and develop the skills of all vendors and associates assigned to the team.

· Quickly adapt to and learn the requirements and operations specific to the assigned category within the store.

· Interact effectively with store and department management to manage expectations and drive results.

· Maintain detailed knowledge of all company policies, including the device policy, and ensure proper training and leadership of associates.

Pre-Sell and Awareness

· Consistently meet placement goals through proactive planning and communication with store management.

· Ensure all stores are maintained in a consistent “tour-ready” condition.

· Maintain account aesthetics and achieve above-average project execution compliance.

· Communicate programs and initiatives to retail partners, store managers, department managers, associates, and customers.

· Notify the RPMM of successes, risks, or potential barriers.

Implementation

· Lead, coach, and execute all projects across all areas of the store.

· Manage and coach assigned associates to ensure projects are completed with the required quality and accuracy.

· Perform POP maintenance, planogram maintenance, and inventory reporting with a high level of accuracy and integrity.

· Demonstrate detailed knowledge and consistent use of handheld devices and laptops for company business.

· Maintain company, client, and retailer confidentiality at all times.

Reporting

· Assist the RPMM in assessing the status of current programs and promotions within the team.

· Provide Store and Merchandising Managers with daily reporting.

Post Reporting

· Communicate sales results and promotional placement outcomes with store and market management.

· Ensure all associates communicate post-reporting results to store management.

· Report specific requests, needs, and sales opportunities to the RPMM, RPM, and Merchandising Manager.

· Provide consistent feedback on new and ongoing programs to the RPMM and RPM.

Requirements and Qualifications

· Ability to lift objects and products up to 50 lbs. regularly, with frequent lifting or carrying up to 35 lbs. In addition, the ability to lift objects up to 100 lbs. with assistance from another associate.

· Ability to perform work while sitting, standing, or walking.

· Ability to perform fine manipulation with hands and fingers, including repetitive hand movements.

· Ability to bend, twist, squat, climb, and maintain upper and lower body mobility.

· Willingness and ability to travel extensively between accounts.

· High School diploma or equivalency certification required

· A valid driver's license is required, as travel to additional locations may be necessary

· Automobile liability insurance is required to be maintained

· Customer service or sales experience required

· Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

· A minimum of conversational proficiency in English (both spoken and written) with the ability to communicate with customers and/or coworkers at a conversational level in real-time.

Rate of Pay:

$23.25

Pay Range:

$20.18 - $23.03
