Video Production Specialist – Creator & Editor – Social Content

Location: On-Site in North Dallas, TX
Compensation: up to $60K, depending on experience
Citizenship Requirements: U.S. Citizens and Green Card Holders only

A portfolio or demo reel is required. Social-first examples are strongly preferred

Why this role matters

At GrabAGun, video is not just content. It is how we grab attention, showcase products, build brands, and connect with customers. We are looking for a hands-on shooter/editor who moves fast, thinks creatively, and knows how to make content people actually want to watch.

This is not a sit-behind-a-desk-and-wait-for-a-brief kind of job. You will be out shooting, editing, creating, testing, and publishing. Some days you will be shooting product content. Other days you may be capturing behind-the-scenes footage, building social clips, or turning a rough idea into something ready to publish that same day.

This role will also serve as a dedicated fractional marketing resource for PEW Logistics clients. As we onboard new brands and begin supporting their marketing needs, you will work under a Marketing Project Manager and alongside our Implementation and Customer Success teams to develop and execute video and content initiatives for client brands.

You should know the firearms space and be comfortable in it. We are not looking for someone who needs a crash course in the industry. You should have foundational knowledge of firearms and their applications, including sporting, self-defense, tactical, hunting, and recreational shooting, and understand what gets different firearms audiences to pay attention.

What you’ll do

  • Shoot and edit short-form and long-form video for product launches, social media, e-commerce, and digital marketing campaigns.

  • Create video content for GrabAGun and PEW Logistics client brands.

  • Act as a dedicated creative resource for fractional marketing clients, helping brands build consistent, engaging content as their marketing needs evolve.

  • Work under a Marketing Project Manager and alongside Implementation and Customer Success teams as new clients come onboard.

  • Get behind the camera and capture product demos, events, manufacturer visits, behind-the-scenes footage, client content, and whatever else makes for good content.

  • Be a one-person production crew when needed. Shoot it. Edit it. Add graphics. Publish it.

  • Take rough concepts and turn them into content that is actually worth watching.

  • Create content that feels authentic, fast, current, and native to the platform. Not overly polished. Not corporate. Not boring.

  • Develop content around specific products, brands, audiences, and marketing goals.

  • Understand what different firearms audiences care about and turn those interests into content that gets attention.

  • Spot trends, topics, products, features, and audience "hot buttons" that can become strong content.

  • Manage and organize video and photo assets so good content does not get buried in a hard drive somewhere.

  • Optimize content for YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, X, and other relevant platforms.

  • Balance multiple projects and brands without losing speed, quality, or deadlines.

What you bring

  • 2 to 4 years of hands-on video production and editing experience using Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools.

  • Comfortable shooting with DSLR or mirrorless cameras, natural light, and run-and-gun setups.

  • A strong eye for pacing, storytelling, hooks, and what makes someone stop scrolling.

  • Basic motion graphics and After Effects or Illustrator skills.

  • Experience creating social-first content designed to get attention quickly.

  • Comfortable working with tight budgets, quick turnarounds, and changing priorities.

  • Comfortable working around firearms, firearms products, manufacturers, retailers, and enthusiast communities.

  • An understanding of the different demographics within the firearms and outdoor space and what motivates them.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with marketing, implementation, customer success, and client teams.

  • Able to take direction when needed, but not afraid to bring your own ideas to the table.

Nice to have

  • Experience with e-commerce or product-driven brands.

  • Agency, freelance, or multi-client marketing experience.

  • Background in firearms, hunting, outdoor, shooting sports, action sports, or other enthusiast communities.

  • Familiarity with firearms manufacturers, optics, ammunition, accessories, and related products.

  • Product photography experience.

  • Experience creating content for paid social or digital advertising.

This role is perfect for someone who

  • Wants to stop freelancing project-to-project and build something with a team.

  • Likes having multiple brands, products, and projects to work on.

  • Is a Swiss Army knife behind the camera and can shoot, edit, produce, and publish without needing a production crew.

  • Moves fast and does not need everything to be perfect before getting started.

  • Understands that great social content is about being relevant, authentic, and impossible to scroll past.

  • Knows the firearms and outdoor world and understands the people who live in it.

  • Has opinions about what makes good content and is willing to test those opinions.

  • Thrives in a fast-moving environment where priorities change and there is always another piece of content to create.

What success looks like

  • Consistent, high-quality video content that grabs attention, drives engagement, and supports sales.

  • Content that feels authentic to the firearms and outdoor audience and speaks to the right demographics.

  • Fast, efficient production across GrabAGun and PEW Logistics client brands.

  • Strong collaboration with Marketing, Implementation, and Customer Success teams.

  • A growing library of content that can be used across social, e-commerce, email, and digital advertising.
