    As a Compliance Advisory professional at OCBC, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the bank's operations are aligned with regulatory requirements and industry standards. You'll have the opportunity to work closely with various stakeholders, providing guidance and support to help them navigate complex regulatory landscapes. Your expertise will help shape the bank's compliance framework, enabling us to maintain our reputation as a trusted and responsible financial institution.

    How you succeed

    To excel in this role, you'll need to stay up to date with changing regulatory requirements and industry trends. You'll work collaboratively with business units to identify and mitigate compliance risks, providing practical advice and solutions that balance business needs with regulatory obligations. Your ability to analyze complex information, think critically, and communicate effectively will be essential in driving compliance excellence across the organization.

    What you do

    • Administer the group cross-border marketing policy for all relevant businesses within the bank or group entities engaging in cross-border marketing activities.

    • Provide advisory support to, and work alongside with, all relevant businesses in the bank or group entities engaging in cross-border marketing activities to address cross-border marketing related matters.

    • Liaise with external counsels to identify applicable local regulatory requirements and permissible guidelines.

    • Track, monitor and ensure that formulation and review of cross-border marketing guidelines are conducted and completed on a timely basis.

    • Keep abreast of new and changes to regulations, particularly those with cross-border marketing implications.

    • Provide training on cross-border marketing guidelines and, where relevant, formulate and update e-learning modules for cross-border marketing guidelines.

    • Manage all other projects assigned on an ad-hoc basis.

    Who you are

    • 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in regulatory compliance in a bank or audit/assurance in a professional services firm focusing on financial institutions.

    • University degree qualifications.

    • Familiar with financial products and services. 

    • Possesses proven leadership, organization and facilitation skills.

    • Possesses good interpersonal and communication skills. 

    • Is proactive, independent and resourceful. 

    • Able to drive, track and monitor implementation timelines meticulously.

    • Able to adapt to changes. 

    • Able to work under time constraints and pressure.

    • Embodies teamwork.
