We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Manager at our new chilled potato product packing site in Boston, Lincolnshire.

This position is ideal for an ambitious warehouse professional who has recently stepped into management or is ready to take the next step in their leadership career. As part of a brand-new operation, you will have the opportunity to take ownership, influence how the warehouse function develops, and gain valuable experience within a growing business.

This is more than just a Warehouse Manager role, it's an opportunity to grow with the business and help shape the future success of a new and exciting operation.

The site will initially launch with two production lines and a dedicated warehouse function. The chilled potato operation will repack frozen product into high-quality, oven-ready chilled goods. The factory is being equipped with state-of-the-art machinery, technology and warehouse systems, creating a modern environment focused on safety, quality, efficiency and continuous improvement.

Shift & Hours of work: Monday to Friday - Fixed Shift, working 08:00hrs to 17:00hrs

Rate of Pay: Depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain uninterrupted temperature integrity for frozen, and chilled storage and food items).
  • Ensure compliance with BRCGS, HACCP, and FDA/local statutory food safety laws.
  • Lead regular stock counts and reconciliation. Maintain strict FIFO/FEFO rotation for highly perishable raw materials, high-care ingredients, and finished goods.
  • Coordinate the timely and accurate staging of raw ingredients and packaging materials to processing and storage areas to minimize downtime.
  • Oversee daily intake, cross-docking, racking, freezer utilization, and final dispatch.
  • Optimize space utilization across multiple temperature zones.
  • Resource, train, and manage warehouse Team Leaders/Supervisors and forklift operatives.
  • Foster a proactive safety culture regarding manual handling and MHE operations.
  • Maximize the utilization of the ERP software for real-time inventory tracking, batch traceability, and barcode scanning.
  • Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and transport carriers.
  • Ensure vehicle cleanliness, pre-loading temperature checks, and accurate documentation.
  • Act decisively during cold chain alerts, equipment failures, or transport delays.
  • Analyse inventory data, labour capacity planning, and operational KPI reporting.

Requirements

  • Management experience, specifically within a food manufacturing environment (chilled, frozen, or high-care sectors) is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of cold chain logistics, workflows, and high-care/low-risk zoning constraints.
  • Certified in HACCP/Food Safety (Level 2 or higher preferred) with proven experience hosting BRCGS, grocery retail, or regulatory audits is advantageous.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the capacity to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interactions with staff at various levels and departments.
