About this role

Location: Newry, Northern Ireland - On-site 5 days a week

Contract: Temporary Contract, 35 hours a week

Start Date: As soon as possible

About us:

Since 2007, we’ve grown from a small Irish start-up into the global leader in GPS performance tracking, trusted by the world’s biggest clubs, leagues, and athletes. Our technology sits at the intersection of hardware, software, and sport, helping teams optimise performance, reduce injury risk, and unlock insights that were previously impossible.

But just as importantly, our products support the next generation of athletes, from academies to grassroots, giving them access to the same performance tools as the pros.

Innovation has always driven us forward, and it’s our people who make that happen.

The opportunity:

We are looking for a flexible, cross-functional Operations & QA Specialist to join our team. This unique role offers the chance to move between the Warehouse team during peak seasons and our QA and Operations teams for the remainder of the year. Designed as a key development opportunity, you will gain genuine visibility across multiple parts of the business, building a broader skill set than a single-function role would allow.

If you are proactive, adaptable, and excited by a role where no two seasons are the same, this is your chance to learn, contribute widely, and become a versatile, go-to member of the STATSports team.

What you’ll be doing:

Warehouse Team – Peak Season:

  • Pick, pack, and process orders to meet daily operational targets.

  • Handle incoming and outgoing goods, ensuring stock is stored accurately and safely.

  • Maintain a clean, organised workspace and follow all health & safety procedures.

  • Work as part of the warehouse team to hit production and dispatch schedules during high-demand periods.

QA / Operational Teams:

  • Perform functional testing on STATSports hardware and accurately record results.

  • Support new and returned product management, including firmware updates, device set-up, and configuration.

  • Help troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and document root causes.

  • Support smooth movement of stock between warehouse locations, working closely with QA and Operations teams.

  • Maintain accurate records using NAV ERP and Microsoft Excel.

  • Rotate into other Operations-adjacent projects as required, gaining exposure to different parts of the business.

  • Familiarise yourself with, and fully comply with, STATSports quality standards and all Company Health & Safety policies.

  • Actively participate in daily team briefings for whichever team you're supporting that period.

What we’re looking for:

You’ll likely enjoy this role if you have:

  • Genuine flexibility and adaptability; comfortable switching priorities and teams as the business calendar demands.

  • Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work well both independently and as part of different teams.

  • Experience in either a warehouse/fulfilment environment or a QA/technical testing environment (exposure to both is a strong plus).

  • Basic-to-strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.

  • Proven ability to follow processes and instructions accurately across two different functions.

  • Highly motivated with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

  • Good communication skills, able to work comfortably with different teams and managers.

Nice to have (but not essential):

  • Interest or background in sport, with an understanding of the expectations of elite sporting clients.

  • Understanding of LEAN principles or continuous improvement practices.

  • Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) and/or NAV ERP.

What’s in it for you:

  • A versatile role directly supporting high-quality hardware used in elite sport

  • Cross-functional exposure and high visibility across multiple core business departments

  • Continuous learning and hands-on career development within a global company

  • Collaboration with experienced operations engineers, QA specialists, and logisticians

  • A team culture that values learning, ownership, and shared success

If you’re passionate about quality and want your work to have a real-world impact in sport, we’d love to hear from you.

Equal opportunity employer:

STATSports is an equal opportunity employer. If you feel you would be a great addition to the team and are excited by the prospect of forging an impactful career with us, we would love to hear from you. We would particularly welcome applications from women and underrepresented groups.

No one wins unless everyone wins!

We believe that diverse teams have the greatest impact, so we really care about creating a diverse and inclusive environment. At STATSports, no one wins unless everyone wins, so we’re focused on creating a team where everyone feels they belong. We welcome people from all backgrounds, with different perspectives, ideas and experiences to work with us. If you do, you'll be joining an environment where everyone has an equal opportunity to share their opinion, showcase their skills, develop their career and be part of a caring and inclusive team.

Why STATSports:

We’re still a small business that happens to be the world leader in our field, which means you can be a part of something big. Working at STATSports, you’ll have a real impact and see directly how the day-to-day work you do makes a difference in sport at the elite level.

You’ll collaborate with a world-class team and be given the freedom to innovate, create and deliver at the highest level. If this excites you, then we would love to hear from you!
