What you'll do

  • Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality control plans, work instructions, and quality procedures.
  • Assist with root cause analysis and corrective action activities related to internal, supplier, and customer quality issues using problem-solving methodologies such as 8D.
  • Support new product and process validation activities through testing, data collection, and analysis.
  • Collect, analyze, and report quality performance data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Assist with supplier quality activities, including supplier performance monitoring, audits, and corrective action follow-up.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Production, and cross-functional teams to improve process capability and product quality.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on defect reduction, process optimization, and operational excellence.
  • Support the preparation of quality reports, presentations, and technical documentation.
  • Learn and apply automotive quality tools and methodologies, including FMEA, SPC, Control Plans, MSA, and 8D.

VALEO NORTH AMERICA is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Warranty / Process Co-Op for the Summer 2027 semester at our Hamilton, Ohio manufacturing facility.

This role will provide hands-on experience supporting quality engineering activities within an automotive manufacturing environment. The Co-Op student will work closely with Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, Production, and Supplier teams to support product quality, process performance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
