  • Carry out the daily operation (regulatory monitoring and reporting process adjustments, chemical transferring and maintenance) of the facility
  • Provide operational support & troubleshooting for plant operations
  • Maintain required inventory and inventory control of critical spare parts, chemicals, & consumables
  • Create maintenance requests
  • Complete and compile data of daily inspections, monitoring, and sampling as required
  • Perform maintenance tasks as requested by the supervisor
  • Perform laboratory analysis and reporting
  • Preparation weekly, monthly, annual reports as required
  • Provide training and mentorship to plant operational staff
  • Participate in required meetings (in-person & remotely)
  • Participate, enforce, and comply with all aspects of the company's health and safety program

We are presently seeking a WasteWater Operator/Superintendent level I (level II preferred)  to join us on an industrial site in Calgary. AQUATECH is looking for an individual who is seeking a career with our rapidly expanding company, and is eager to learn.

Job Description

Operator Main Responsibilities

You're responsible for conducting the daily operation and maintenance of the WWTP. This position will report to the area Operations Manager

  • The main responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
    • Carry out the daily operation (regulatory monitoring and reporting process adjustments, chemical transferring and maintenance) of the facility;
    • Provide operational support & troubleshooting for plant operations;
    • Maintain required inventory and inventory control of critical spare parts, chemicals, & consumables;
    • Create maintenance requests ;
    • Complete and compile data of daily inspections, monitoring, and sampling as required;
    • Perform maintenance tasks as requested by the supervisor;
    • Perform laboratory analysis and reporting;
    • Preparation weekly, monthly, annual reports as required;
    • Provide training and mentorship to plant operational staff;
    • Participate in required meetings (in-person & remotely);
    • Participate, enforce, and comply with all aspects of the company's health and safety program.

Technologies: DAF, centrifuges.

Hours of Work (+ on-call)

  • Monday 8am-4:30pm

  • Tuesday 8am-12pm

  • Wednesday 8am-12pm

  • Thursday 8am-4:30pm

  • Friday 8am-12pm

  • Note: if you want to do more hours (+40 hrs/w), Aquatech can give you more responsabilities in the Calgary area working in PM (Tuesday/Wednesday/Friday)
