About this role

Job Description:

Position Title:                  Welder

Reporting To:                  Production Supervisor

Location:                          Carrickmacross

Hours of work:                40 Hours – Mon to Thurs 8:00AM to 5:00PM, Fri 8:00AM to 2:30PM

As a Welder at Terex MDS, based in Magheracloone, Carrickmacross, you'll play a pivotal role in the fabrication of components parts for our heavy duty rock trommels.

Main duties and responsibilities

- Understand technical plans and be capable of working out measurements
- Inspect and test cuts and joints, using precision measuring instruments
- Meet production targets while maximising efficiency
- Ensure the safe and controlled movement of production parts
- Ensure Health & Safety is adhered to at all times

- Work as part of a team to develop continuous improvement

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Industrial welding experience
- Strong communication skills
- Proactive approach to problem solving
- Organisation skills, with the ability to effectively plan, organise and control daily workload
- Read and understand technical drawings
- Work on own initiative

- A team player
