What you'll do
- Capable of fabricating/erecting assigned tasks using various types of metals; stainless steel galvanized black iron.
- Capable of performing the 3 major types of welding TIG welding ARC welding MIG welding.
- Must be able to safely operate hand power tools shop equipment to include metal shear, metal brake, drill press, metal lathe, plasma cutter, oxy acetylene torch sanders, etc.
- Able to weld in multiple positions – flat, vertical, horizontal, or overhead.
- Must be capable of reading blueprints specifications sketches, work orders, plan layout assembly and welding operations.
- Perform close tolerance to meet layout print specifications using calipers micrometers etc. as needed.
- Set up and operate welding fabricating equipment to perform jobs, blueprints, sketches or verbal orders.
- Examine parts for defects and measure parts to ensure conformance with specifications.
- Perform machining with lathe broaching tools, drilling, tapping and other machining functions.
- Must be proficient in AutoCAD or other design software.
- Maintain tools equipment in a safe clean and orderly manner including shop tools welding cutting gauges and welding equipment.
- Follow company policies and procedures giving special attention to safety regulations.

Essential Duties

- Capable of performing the 3 major types of welding TIG welding ARC welding MIG welding.
- Must be able to safely operate hand power tools shop equipment to include metal shear, metal brake, drill press, metal lathe, plasma cutter, oxy acetylene torch sanders, etc.

Welder/Fabricator Maintenance applicants must possess: Industrial Technology degree or a degree in a related field, or a minimum of 3 years of experience.
