What you'll do
- Fabricating, assembling and installing ship components while ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety and productivity.
- Welding carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminium structures using a variety of welding processes: Manual Metal Arc (MMA), MIG Welding, Automatic & Semi-Automatic Welding (Submerged Arc & KAT), Resistance Welding (Stud Welding)
- Working from welding procedures, manufacturing instructions and technical drawings
- Producing high-quality, right-first-time work that contributes to successful ship construction
- Using air and electric power tools safely and effectively
- Collaborating with supervisors, apprentices and other trades to overcome production challenges

What You'll Be Doing
As a Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling and installing ship components while ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety and productivity.
