What you'll do
- Supporting compliance monitoring across workforce management practices, including rostering, time and attendance, and hours of work
- Reviewing workforce data to identify potential compliance risks related to awards, Enterprise Agreements, fatigue management, and minimum employment standards
- Coordinating reviews and checks of rostering and timekeeping practices to support accurate pay outcomes
- Supporting Operations leaders and Store Managers with guidance on workforce management requirements and escalation of compliance risks
- Partnering with Payroll and People Operations to support resolution of workforce-related compliance issues
- Assisting with audits, reviews, and reporting related to workforce management compliance
- Maintaining accurate records, documentation, and evidence to support compliance activities
- Supporting the development and maintenance of workforce management compliance processes, controls, and guidance materials
- Monitoring trends and recurring issues and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
- Supporting regulatory, audit, or internal review activities related to workforce management

Job Description
Join Viva Energy Australia as a Workforce Management (WFM) Compliance Coordinator on a 6 month fixed term contact role and play a key role in ensuring our workforce management practices remain compliant, accurate, and aligned with legislative and business requirements across a dynamic 24/7 retail network. Working within our People & Culture team, you will partner closely with Operations, Payroll, and People
Operations to monitor rostering, time and attendance compliance, identify potential risks, and support continuous improvement initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys problem-solving, compliance, and stakeholder engagement, and is passionate about delivering fair, consistent, and sustainable workforce practices that support our people and business performance.
Responsibilities & Requirements
- Supporting compliance monitoring across workforce management practices, including rostering, time and attendance, and hours of work
- Reviewing workforce data to identify potential compliance risks related to awards, Enterprise Agreements, fatigue management, and minimum employment standards
- Coordinating reviews and checks of rostering and timekeeping practices to support accurate pay outcomes
- Supporting Operations leaders and Store Managers with guidance on workforce management requirements and escalation of compliance risks

Qualifications
- Education/Specialization: Qualification in Human Resources, Workforce Management, Business, or a related discipline (desirable)
- Length of Experience: Demonstrated experience in workforce management, HR operations, payroll support, or compliance-related roles
- Field of Experience:
- Exposure to workforce management practices such as rostering, time and attendance, or scheduling
- Understanding of employment legislation, awards, and Enterprise Agreements in a retail or operational environment
- Strong data analysis, reporting, and documentation skills
- High attention to detail and ability to identify trends and risks
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work across operational and corporate teams
