Job Description

Radiologic Technologist

At University Health, our Radiologic Technologists play a critical role in delivering safe, accurate, and compassionate diagnostic care to our diverse patient community. Whether in trauma, outpatient, or routine diagnostics, your skill in medical imaging directly supports life-saving clinical decisions.

Your Role:

As a Radiologic Technologist, you will:

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using state-of-the-art radiologic equipment

  • Ensure image quality and patient comfort during every procedure

  • Complete all aspects of exam workflow including room prep, patient positioning, and documentation

  • Communicate clearly with patients and staff to explain procedures and address concerns

  • Work under the guidance of lead technologists and supervisors, with growing autonomy over time

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program

  • Registry-eligible or registered with ARRT; must pass certification within 6 months of graduation

  • Maintain CPR certification as a condition of continued employment

  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and assist in patient movement

  • Proficiency with computer systems for image and patient data entry

  • Ability to work with patients of all ages

Career Advancement:

Technologists are encouraged to pursue advanced certification and may be eligible for promotion to Senior Specialized Technologist after achieving credentials in:

  • CT (Computed Tomography)

  • MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)

  • Mammography
