Job Title: 1 to 1 Support Assistant

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming primary school in Bridgend to recruit a 1 to 1 Support Assistant. This friendly and supportive school is committed to creating an inclusive learning environment where every child is encouraged to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

The school is looking to appoint a 1 to 1 Support Assistant on a part-time temporary basis, working mornings only from 8:30am to 12pm. The successful 1 to 1 Support Assistant will be working closely with a Key Stage 1 pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder / ASD, providing classroom support, encouraging engagement with learning activities, and helping to build positive relationships throughout the school day.

The successful 1 to 1 Support Assistant will have:

Experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder / ASD

A minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant childcare qualification

Experience working within a primary school setting

A calm, patient and nurturing approach

Excellent communication and behaviour management skills

A can-do attitude and the ability to build positive relationships
