Pensions Administration

Join us as a Pensions Administrator in Isio’s brand new Pensions Administration Training Academy in our Birmingham office.

This is a permanent role and a fantastic opportunity for enthusiastic, customer-focused individuals who are ready to learn and grow. Over the first 12 months, you’ll receive structured training through a programme of classroom sessions, hands-on experience, and dedicated mentorship. You’ll become part of a supportive team, learning how to process pension scheme transactions, respond to member (customer) queries, and manage data – all while building your knowledge of UK pension regulations and member services.

This role is ideal for someone eager to start a career in pensions, with a passion for problem-solving, teamwork, and delivering exceptional customer service.

What does the role entail?

Data Management & Benefit Administration

  • Maintain accurate member records through cloud-based administration systems

  • Execute member lifecycle processes (transfers, retirements, etc) in compliance with regulatory guidelines

Member Engagement & Support

  • Deliver timely responses to member enquiries via email, phone and post in line with service level agreements

Previous pensions experience is not required.

Training and development

You will receive structured learning, practical experience and support from your team.

You will develop technical, business and professional skills through on-the-job learning, formal training and hands-on client work.

  • Induction programme

  • Technical and professional skills training over a structured 12 month initial period and beyond

  • Ongoing opportunities to build your pensions and wider market knowledge

  • A buddy to help you settle in

  • Support from a Performance Manager with your development and progress

Support will be provided to work towards and achieve qualifications with the Pensions Management Institute (PMI)

Length of programme

You will be employed on a permanent basis from the start of your role.

Location and working pattern

This role is based in our Birmingham office.

Expected office attendance, is four days per week minimum in office.

The working pattern will reflect client, team and learning needs. Reasonable adjustments will be considered where appropriate.

Recruitment process

The recruitment process will include;

  • a further review of your application assessing your potential to be successful in this role

  • an interview, in-person, with Managers in this role in the office you have applied to be based in

We will explain what to expect before each stage. The process will assess your motivation, numerical and problem-solving skills, communication, teamwork and approach to learning. It will not assume previous pensions knowledge.
