Account Manager - Aerospace

PPG Industries

Sydney, Melbourne, or Brisbane

We are seeking an experienced and commercially motivated Account Manager to support and grow our Aerospace business in ANZ Region, including South Pacific.

You will manage strategic customer relationships, increasing sales growth, identifying new business opportunities, and being a trusted partner to commercial airlines, MROs, OEMs, and aerospace industry partners. You will have industry connections and an understanding of aerospace operational and regulatory requirements.

You will report to the Sales Director.

This is a field based role and you can be based in greater Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane areas.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Account Management

  • Develop strategic account plans to achieve revenue and margin targets.
  • Grow sales within existing aerospace accounts while identifying and securing new business opportunities.
  • Manage relationships with important partners across airlines, MROs, OEMs, distributors, and aerospace service providers.
  • Conduct regular customer visits and business reviews to strengthen partnerships and uncover growth opportunities.
  • Support customer engagement throughout the sales cycle, from opportunity identification to contract implementation.

Industry Relationship Management

  • Leverage existing relationships with major commercial airlines and MRO organisations across Australia.
  • Develop executive-level relationships with procurement, engineering, maintenance, quality, and operations leaders.

Technical & Commercial Support

  • Promote aerospace-approved chemical solutions and specialty products to support maintenance and operational requirements.

Market Intelligence

  • Monitor industry trends, fleet expansion plans, MRO activities, and developments.
  • Identify new opportunities within commercial aviation, defence aviation, business aviation, and MRO sectors.
  • Provide market feedback to leadership and participate in strategic planning.

Sales Forecasting & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate pipeline and forecast data within CRM systems.
  • Prepare regular sales reports, account reviews, and business development updates.
  • Manage pricing, contract negotiations, and commercial agreements within company guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of successful sales, account management, or business development experience in the aerospace industry.
  • Demonstrated experience working with:
