Accounts Assistant- Part Qualified Accountant- Dublin 2

We have exciting opportunity for a strong Accounts Assistants or Part Qualified Accountant with a leading Insurance organisation with a strong global footprint.

Location: based in the heart of Dublin 2.

Salary is DOE: €45,000 - €50,000

This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in supporting the company's growth across its global operations. Reporting to the Financial Controller, whilst working closely with the Financial Accountant you will gain hands on experience in an international organisation. This is a broad position supporting the accounting function across 4 global entities.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Cash Allocation and Accounts Receivable / Payable - Provide support with cash allocation and accounts receivable and payable activities.
• Claims Payments - Support the team with the processing and administration of claims payments, including checking payment requests and supporting documentation, ensuring payments are processed accurately, maintaining appropriate records, and assisting with the reconciliation of claims payments.
• Bordereaux Reporting - Assist with the preparation of monthly bordereaux reports to insurers, ensuring information is accurate, complete and provided within agreed deadlines.
• Financial Reporting - Support the team with the timely preparation and distribution of month-end financial reporting.
• Assisting with Audits - Support the team during external audits by gathering and organising supporting documentation, preparing schedules and reconciliations, and assisting with queries and requests from auditors as required.
• Systems and Internal Controls - Assist with the maintenance and ongoing development of finance systems, processes and internal controls, helping to ensure they remain effective, accurate and fit for purpose.

Person Specification & Qualification

• Minimum of 2-6 years prior accounting experience.
• Experience within insurance / financial services experience is advantageous but not essential
• Accounting Technician or Part Qualified Accountant advantageous but not essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to change.
• Proficiency in using accounting software's, strong Excel skills, including formula, VLOOKUPs, Pivots
• Attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
