Senior Accountant/Finance Manager

• Prepare monthly management accounts and detailed financial reporting packs.
• Lead month-end close activities, including accruals, prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations and journal postings.
• Produce variance analysis and provide commentary on financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns and support statutory reporting requirements.
• Maintain the fixed asset register and associated reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable activities, supplier statement reconciliations and payment preparation.
• Oversee accounts receivable activities, including invoicing and credit control.
• Complete bank and cash reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Support payroll processing and provide cover where required.
• Assist with the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.
• Develop KPI reporting and provide commercial analysis to support operational decision-making.
• Participate in finance transformation initiatives, including systems implementations, upgrades and process improvement projects.
• Prepare presentations and financial reports for senior management.
• Support ongoing business improvement initiatives and cross-functional projects.

• Qualified or Part-Qualified ACA, ACCA, CPA or CIMA.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a financial accounting, management accounting or similar finance role.
• Experience preparing management accounts and month-end reporting.
• Strong understanding of financial controls, reconciliations and reporting processes.
• Experience working with Sage or similar ERP/accounting systems.
• Previous involvement in system implementations or process improvement projects would be advantageous.
• Experience supporting payroll processing is desirable.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
