Job Description :

Cogeco Communications, a publicly traded multinational corporation, is seeking a corporate development analyst to join its Montréal team. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Development, this analyst will play an active role in supporting the company’s growth plan.

The successful candidate will actively contribute to the key strategic decision-making process, notably as it relates to mergers and acquisitions as well as capital allocation decisions. This individual will also conduct analyses in support of organic growth projects submitted by business entities and produce industry benchmarks.  

 

KEY RESPONSABILITIES

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

ACADEMIC TRAINING

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting  

  • Wall Street Prep or other equivalent training is an asset   

  • An accounting designation is an asset

  • The CFA or CBV designation (or in the process of being completed) is an asset.  
     

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 2 to 3 years of experience in corporate finance, investments or other relevant business experience, preferably as part of a corporate development team, investment bank, a transactional advisory team or a private equity firm.   
     

SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES

  • Solid analytical skills with the ability to summarize and present information.
