North Europe Continent (NEC) Area LCL & Cargo Risk Management (Insurance) Business Development Manager

We are looking for a motivated, strategic and commercial minded Area LCL & CRM Business Development Manager to strengthen our product performance and accelerate business growth. In this role, you will play a key part in enhancing sales effectiveness, increasing customer awareness, and converting opportunities into measurable business results across global markets, driving growth of Ocean LCL, FCL Forwarding and Cargo Risk Management (Insurance) solutions.

About the Role

As the Area NEC LCL & CRM Business Development Manager, you will bridge the gap between pipeline performance and business targets, while acting as a key link between Product, Sales, and Customers.

You will:

  • Orchestrate opportunities across Area team

  • Engage directly with customers alongside Sales to design and close solutions

  • Drive pipeline quality, conversion, and growth delivery

  • Support sales teams with insights, tools, and structured guidance to win 

A strong focus on collaboration, data-driven decision-making, and commercial execution is essential.

Customer Engagement & Solution Development

  • Partner with Sales to engage strategic and enterprise customers, including senior stakeholders

  • Design end-to-end LCL and cargo insurance solutions tailored to customer supply chains

  • Support large, complex and long-cycle deal pursuits

  • Act as a commercial advisor to Sales and customers on forwarding and risk solutions

  • Build strong relationships across customers, Sales leadership, and global stakeholders

Pipeline Management & Business Alignment

  • Drive and orchestrate pipeline growth aligned to global and regional targets

  • Lead and support high-value, long-cycle opportunities across multiple markets

  • Ensure strong alignment between Regional product strategy and Area execution

  • Collaborate with Product and Sales to shorten sales cycles and improve conversion rates

  • Maintain high-quality pipeline management, improving win, retention, and conversion ratios

  • Analyse lost opportunities to enhance product competitiveness and sales effectiveness

Sales Enablement & Customer Awareness

  • Deliver product training across Sales, Verticals, and Key Account teams

  • Communicate product updates, enhancements, and value propositions clearly

  • Provide targeted support on strategic trade lanes, customer segments, and verticals

  • Build capability across Area and Regional business development teams

New Business Onboarding & Execution

  • Ensure smooth transition from opportunity to customer onboarding and execution

  • Act as first escalation point for complex or strategic deals

  • Coordinate with Product and Operations to ensure seamless delivery

Accountability

  • Accountable for pipeline conversion, strategic opportunity development, and growth delivery

  • Drive commercial impact across LCL and Cargo Risk Management (Insurance) products across NEC Area

What We’re Looking For
