  • Assist in the development and implementation of school policies, procedures, and strategic initiatives as directed by the Head of Schools

As Assistant Head of School, you will support a Bezos Academy school with children ages three through five as part of a multi-state network of schools in under-resourced communities, offering quality Montessori-inspired preschool at no cost to families. You will work closely with the Head of School to ensure smooth school operations, build a strong family community, develop teaching staff, and support the educational experience for each child in every classroom. You bring leadership and management experience, and a passion for our mission to expand access to high quality preschool in under-resourced communities. The Assistant Head of School plays a vital role in ensuring smooth operations and effective communication within the school community.

                        

LOCATION

We are actively hiring for an Assistant Head of School for the launch of our new preschool in West Palm Beach - Roosevelt (1220 15th Street, Building 3, West Palm Beach, FL 33401). 

Relocation assistance is available for this role.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, salaried position. 
  • The full salary range for this position is $68,000 - $102,000. The upper third of the salary range is typically reserved for existing employees who have been in the role for multiple years and demonstrate strong performance over time. Starting salary will vary by qualifications and prior experience.
  • This role includes 15 paid days of vacation, 4 days of paid personal time off, and 9 paid days of sick (care) time prorated based on your position start date, as well as 9 paid holidays, 5 paid days off for an organization-wide winter break, and additional time off if required by applicable law. Benefits for this role include medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, a 401(k) plan with a 4% employer contribution match, paid parental leave, an employer-matched flexible spending account for dependent care, and more.
